Meet Dr. Spencer Stevenson
Hamilton Chiropractor Dr. Spencer Stevenson grew up surrounded by chiropractic. The third generation, and seventh chiropractor in the family, his relatives adjusted him all the time. He has seen so many cool things happen with chiropractic! He’s seen conditions healed that other doctors have never seen or treated.
The Journey to Chiropractic
An entrepreneur as a youth, Dr. Spencer’s grandmother advised him to continue down that route. He received a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of Guelph in 2011. Working in online marketing and sales, he was frustrated by lack of control in his career and decided to look into chiropractic school.
In 2012, he enrolled in Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. His original plan was not to practice; maybe research or website design for other practices. After one week at CMCC, he fell in love with adjusting!
Dr. Spencer is certified in First Aid, trained in Thompson Drop technique, Activator, and currently in the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stability certification program based in Prague. Believing education never stops, he continues to take courses, and attend seminars and webinars far above the hours required.
A Legacy of Learning
Dr. Spencer has benefited from the store of knowledge passed down, first from his grandfather to his father and his siblings, and now from his father to him. He is proud of all his family has accomplished, and is excited for how Stevenson Chiropractic & Wellness will grow in the future.
Our Services
A Change of Perspective
As a youth, Dr. Spencer was a germaphobe, keeping his distance from crowds. By the time he entered university, he had changed, and now participated in activities with friends. Working out and exercising just to do something was the norm. Now, his movements are more directed and purposeful.
Outside the Practice
When Dr. Spencer isn’t helping patients, he loves to spend time with his fiance, Jenna, and their Goldendoodle, Akela. He is also passionate about golf, playing whenever he has an opportunity.
